Our patients are seen by appointment on Monday-Friday. If you experience a medical problem that is such that you must be seen immediately, every effort will be made to see you at our office or the local Emergency Room.
Before your first appointment with one of our physicians, we need to receive all of the pertinent medical information regarding your diagnosis. For your protection and peace of mind, we will also verify your insurance coverage. Even though we accept most insurance policies, we want to be certain that financial concerns do not overwhelm you. New patients have paperwork that needs to be completed before seeing their doctor. We will mail you this material in advance or you may complete on the day of your appointment. Please plan on arriving 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
If your insurance company requires a referral, please make sure that you bring it with you or have your referring physician fax it to us before your appointment. In the event that a referral is not provided the scheduled appointment may need to be rescheduled until such time as the referral is provided. New patient appointments will be scheduled with the first available physician. If a specific physician is requested, please understand that your first appointment may be delayed.
We want you to know in advance that you may have an extended wait time. If this happens (and it likely will at some point during your treatment), we apologize. Our physicians frequently address life-threatening situations, and they spend the time necessary with their patients. Since patients with emergencies or complications may delay your appointment time, your patience and consideration are appreciated.
Depending on your diagnosis and treatment plan, you will need follow-up appointments. Treatment plans vary greatly, and it is not uncommon for some patients to be seen daily while others receive treatments monthly. Before leaving our office, we will schedule your next appointment as well as any tests your physician orders.
As a courtesy reminder, we will call the day prior to your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you notify the office at least 24 hours prior to appointment to allow someone else your time slot. If you fail to notify office of cancellation, your account may be charged $35.00.
